Brilliant Coloring Without Compromise: New Masterbatch Carrier System for High-performance Polymer PPA

PPAX is a new color masterbatch carrier system from Tosaf Color Service which is based on the high-performance polymer PPA (polyphthalamide) and whose specially selected pigments allow high processing temperatures. This makes it possible to color products made from it in many different bright colors without affecting this material’s special properties. Unlike PA66-based masterbatches, which are often used as an alternative for cost reasons, the high thermal stability, very good strength, stiffness and toughness values, low moisture absorption and high chemical resistance are also retained in colored injection moldings. All 28 standard stock RAL colors in the PPAX product range can be laser marked and provide a high-contrast color change.

Tosaf optimizes carrier material for low emission POM masterbatche

Karlstein/Germany, November 2020 – Tosaf Color Service’s color, functional and combination
masterbatches for POM are now based on particularly low-emission carrier materials. In addition, the
pigments have been optimally selected with regard to their effectiveness. As a result, the low
emission data of the starting material – depending on the POM type – are almost fully retained, even
after coloring and compounding.

Worldwide compliance: New masterbatch carrier system for food contact applications

Karlstein, Germany, May 2023 – A newly developed, universally applicable masterbatch carrier system from Tosaf Color Service now complies with all common food contact requirements. These include the recommendations of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) as well as the complex and varied regulatory requirements of the USA and China (FDA, China Food Safety Law).
